    Default Time flys

Fished just over two hours this morning at the McIntosh docks .
Started out with my 4’11” Major Craft Finetail glass paired with a Carbon X 500 reel spooled with KastKing 8X braid .
I was trying out the braid since it was 6# and I thought it might be a cheaper alternative to the Daiwa braid . Nope !
Caught three fish on it and switched to what’s becoming my , my Graywolf 4’11” white glass paired with with my Shimano Soare XR500spg and Daiwa braid .
I was also trying out a new micro jig tied on a size 12 dry fly hook with a 3mm tungsten bead . Chenille body with feather hackle palmered just behind the bead .
I checked the time and had almost fished for two hours .
I brought my newest Tenkara rod and needed to try it out . An inexpensive eight footer from Amazon . I made a 8’ level floating leader from the from the back end of a floating fly line and added about four feet of tippet .
My fly was one of my size 12 rubber legged spider .
I caught eight in less than thirty minutes including a green sunfish that grabbed my fly that was dangling over the boat dock rail while I was winding the line up on the line holder .
Eighteen total today with a couple of good ones mixed in with the normal little guys .

They’re a fun way to fish once you accept the limitations they put on you .

Very nice. I lasted about two hours today on my local stream. It is just flat out nasty here in NE PA. Same as a lot of others here on CC

You had fun and the time slipped away. Been there myself lately. I’ll think it’s like 10 and it’s closer to noon. I don’t wear a watch so if I don’t think to check the time when I’m taking a pic I just keep fishing.

I don’t take a watch either. I just want to think of the good time on the water. I have my phone if I am under a rime limit.
