Nice. Good looking rods.

I woke up to cloudy skies this morning and decided to visit the docks at Lake Kedron.
But , instead of grabbing an UL spinning combo, I grabbed a couple of my Tenkara rods .
When I first got to the lake it was drizzling. I checked the weather app and it said nothing about rain .
Well , twice I had to head to cover from rain , once to my car, once to a large sweet gum tree .
Then it quit after about fifteen minutes of off and on showers .
The rods were my Dragontail FoxFire , that adjusts fro 6.3’ to 9.3’ .
The other was a 7’ Goture rod .
It’d been awhile since I fished my Tenkara and I’d forgotten how much they restrict your fishing area .
Even with the Foxfire extended to 9.3’ , I felt I needed more distance and if I’d had a spinning rod or even a flyrod in the car , I would have swapped out.
But I did catch some little guys , which this spot usually gives up .
Fifteen total in a little over an hour . Most were on the inexpensive Goture rod , mostly because I swapped rods after catching my first five and stuck with the cheaper rod .

For no further than you could reach, those are nice. Colors are sure nice enough.

I’ve been wanting to try Tenkara. Looks like a blast, but man the nicer rods are expensive.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me.
