Quick stop. 2nd cast, Shakespeare 7' ul, Varivas 4#. Huge bass followed it as I reeled it in! Handtied jig, uv coated diamond braid.

Used to be a salmon rearing pond. Now it is a catch and release pond with a fish food station. Very weedy. Lots of very small gills and bass and a few toads like this one. Really just stopped to try my new set-up. I was impressed and the mostly clear bobber worked well. Looking forward to extended testing soon.
Nice gill and jig. Now you know it works. Last year I caught five bass that ate my gill including my PB 10.23# bass. Numerous other bass that I didn't catch. This year not one even followed my hooked gills.

Nice fish no doubt. I’ve fished some private places that still make me smile but it’s been lots of years ago. I don't stand long enough to bank fish anymore. Got lucky on a golf course or two also. Those were short trips. Get there in the dark and leave when the first mower comes into view. Kinda dicey but worth it.

Skeet, years ago I saw a water hole on a golf course in Kansas that was full of giant gills. Seems we ran into some nasty snakes so I decided not to try a sneak attack on em!
