    Default PTG crankbait tourney

Anybody fishing the PTG Outdoors crankbait tourney this Saturday?

Rickie (rnvinc), Jere( CPR4570) and Brian (BJohnson429) and I are headed down Thursday for the Sat event. If you see the red and grey Excel Bay Pro230 out there, give us a shout.

Good luck fellas. We were considering it but recent health events will not allow it. Maybe next year. Keep us posted please

Was tough fishing today. Not very many 5 fish limits. Wind was pretty rough early in the day.

I heard the winning weight was 6.72 lbs. It was rough all day. I got 5 keepers for the day but didn't enter the tourney.

There was a few with 5 fish . Very low weight for the old lake . Less than 7 lbs. won it so I was told . There were a few that had kicker fish but the fish died . I knew I could not keep them alive . Congrats to al the winners .

Grenada sure seems different than years past we were here ...

We placed 8th out 54 boats … (psst - only a handful of boats said they were pulling behind planer boards) ...

Congratulations to all the winners. It was tough ...

(Opinion from an out of state observer that has been to Grenada several years past) ...

True … guides dominated the entries into the tournament ($$ is too irresistible) ... BUT … the guides predominating are LiveScope video encapsulating experts - not necessarily cranking experts ... this tournament was cranks only - old school ...

Kudos to PTG Outdoors for rules against FFS in this venue (even physically plastic bagging any FFS transducer at the launching ramps at 5am) ...

I was impressed at PTG level of “level the playing field” ...

Some teams brought in fish on ice. We had ours in chilled water with oxygen bubbler. We had a nice fish that was gill-ripped and figured it would die. 4 hours later it was in good shape.

I chose to stay away from the area the winners were in(Redgrass). I fished that area the last two years with two of the winners and knew it would be crowded. The fish we found might have won but we ended up fighting 3 foot waves all day.
