    Default Buffalo hunter

Boss went with me again today, trolling along and outside board goes running backwards, then under.
Tried to slack line a little, that board ain’t coming back up.
Full stop, reeled everything else in, and took off after it. By now the reel is down into the backing. Chased it down and got my board back, then it wants to play run-under-the-boat.
She wrassled with it for a good 15 minutes while I’m turning boat trying to keep it from wrapping a motor.
Was really expecting a big catfish, but nope! I tried to get her to grab it by a gill and hold it out for a picture, but instead she holds it like a baby Buffalo hunter
She wasn’t the happiest after seeing how it slimed her - even got the tip of her ponytail lol. I said told you so, and she said I was number 1???Name: IMG_2908.jpg

Those suckers can be mean! They are a fun fight though, worth the slime in the end I reckon... hopefully you took him home for dinner. Hear the ribs are real good.

It did put up a pretty good fight allright. But she pitched it back to fight another day. I dressed and sold a few of them back in the day, they just never struck me as appetizing looking Buffalo hunter
We ended up keeping 6 crappie and a couple blue cat. Lots of really small fish today though. Threw back better than a dozen shorties.
