Default Pulled cranks on Ross Barnett Rez

I got back from Ross Barnett Rez about 1.5 hours ago pulling crankbaits for the first time ever, and I was surprised that it went as well as it did for a beginner. My only regret was not taking my son (not well enough from an illness), so I lost time setting a course on my Terrova and then fishing. Maybe tomorrow I’ll take my son (if well enough) so that he can fish while I record the course.

If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

Good job. Nice groceries. Hopefully your son is well enough to get out for a little while tomorrow.

Default Pulled cranks on Ross Barnett Rez

We did manage to go for a few hours this morning before the sun, heat, humidity chased us off the water—we do have something to go to this afternoon, so we had to get back to shower and eat lunch first. My son got the big crappie and most of the fish this time while I mostly assisted and navigated.Name: IMG_5607.jpg

I returned my camper to The Rez Friday. Company is Coming! I don't pull cranks, have them but they have never seen the water. Glad you got off to a good start with cranks.

Rojo , while I have seen others fishing other areas of The Rez, I’ve not really seen them catch anything. I remember getting some of those “WTF” stares from both bass and crappie fishermen when they see me cruising on along and then again when one of my reels start making noise, indicating a bite.

No worries, I single pole and catch crappie all summer on The Rez. Those who put up their jig poles early leave a lot of fish for me to catch.
