Catching so many on minnows right now, I haven’t pulled out the jig rods lately. But I picked up some jigs from Keith @ Black Sheep jigs today and my new jig box came today too. So pretty I had to show somebody.

It’s a plastic “wing” that is supposed to make it flutter on the way down. They were always referred to as No Alibi jigs in SC. There was a gentleman up near Lake Wylie that use to make thousands every year. I thought when he retired, that I wouldn’t be able to get any more. But Mr Jim Rector with Crappie Cookies is making them again and doing really nice ones. Im lucky to have two great tiers nearby with Keith and Jim.

those no alibi jigs are a locally well known top secret jig, the supposed trick to them though was the head, which your jigs do not have, his head was more of a torpedo type tube style with the eye a bit further back, trollers and single polers both hold that original in very high regard. ive been told he showed several folks how to make the skirting but had the only known mold for the head and while he did offer to sell it was very expensive and to my knowledge thier weren't any takers. somebody please correct me if im wrong thier.
