Thread: ACC Crappie Stix warranty

I currently have 3 acc crappie stix rods I fish as well as many rods from other companies. I like the acc rods I have. I abuse the heck out of them and have had zero issues. I have broke one but I have broke a lot more from other brands in the past. I think they are good rods.

You could consider buying a spare tip end. Before you break it. You know you'll need it sooner or later.

Keeping the rod straight,if it's braid and don't come loose just cut the line.

Wrap the line around a paddle or whatever and pull straight till something gives. I hate to see my line hung up on lines tangled on structure from markers or cut lines. Just making it a trap for the next time you or someone else drops in a hook .

If rod companies can’t stand behind their products then l don’t need to buy them.
I like my B&M rods just fine.

Yes Sir ... what I've been telling people for years. Get a 6" length of 1" diameter wood dowel & wrap the braid around it several times and PULL !! Don't use your hands/fingers or you stand a chance of getting cut wide open. I also don't recommend using the cork or foam handle on your rods (it can cut thru them, as well).

Years ago things made in China or Japan were cheaper so better warranty became a way of life to survive . Gone are those days and for the most part they do not have to compete with "American made " any more . I have an arsenal of rods and when I break one I usually toss it . By the time you mail rod back and pay shipping you can get a new one at Academy Sports .

there is some good news , they got a new one that's 15 coming out soon , for them LS folks , not sure about much else ,but heard that recently and thunk ....bet it is pricey ....

I really like ACC rods but they are brittle and sensitive.
