    Whats your favorite inline jigging reel. Im looking for something better than than Mr. Crappie Solo.

    I like the Eagle Claw ice reels due to them having a drag and large handles.

    I use abu black max on all my jigging pole. They are probably over kill , but I like them, they earn their keep when a hybrid striper or
    big catfish decide to eat my jig.

    I use the Slater brand on my long poles 11 months of the year. IMO Anything else is dead weight I don’t need on the back of my pole.
    The exception would be deep water fishing in winter

    That is definitely a bare bones setup for sure and it will work. But i wanna hear the click of the reel set. Im a sucker for the thump and the screech

    Roger that, I live for the thump. but on crappie the fight on the long pole is enough.
    However I like the way my penn reels sing when I set the hook on a bull Red.
