Those tungsten beads can be frustrating trying to glue on hooks. I had some awful issues when I stored them they fogged up the inside of the case and would often bust loose off the hook. I was using gel super glue which might not be the best but I’ve struggled with getting a method down. That is sad on the hooks.

I’m still trying different UV glues . Hopefully I’ll find one that works .
I dug out my old jig molds I’ve had for probably 35 years . Smallest size jig was a 1/16 . . I guess I used them back when I was fishing saltwater about four times a year.

I put a few wraps of thread down, glue, then slide the bead over that. Thread behind bead and glue also.

I’m hearing you talk about lack of traction for the glue to hold onto. Like paint or fiberglass it has to have something to grab onto, like a sanded area. I see the thread first then bead being a good thing to try. I know you don’t want to sand or grind any part of the hooks that might create a weak spot.

I checked out the specs on these hooks yesterday and the wire diameter on the smaller sizes is about 20% thinner than the standard wire diameter so they should penetrate flesh with less force better than standard hooks. Going to order some #6 and #8 to start with. Definitely worth a shot.

Couldn't find any Alpha Point jig hooks for sale, guess they aren't in stock yet. Hopefully sell them soon. Anyone know where I can get some? Sometimes I think they like to tease me by making me wait.
