I’ve been looking for ways to wrangle 3700 plano boxes, and not having any luck. This may not be the ultimate solution, but hey - wally world $5. Holds 6 without a bunch of wasted space. But a couple 3600’s will lay on top too. Name: IMG_2408.jpg

I will get some pics of the way the milk crate works with 3700 and 3600 boxes. Plus there are already tons of bags etc, to use with them since it’s common for kayaks. I have a very nice bag with rod holders and pockets covering mine.

I use clear samich bags for most my smushables. That saves space too. Store the samich bags in a clear gallon baggie and you can finder betterer. Only things that don't store well in this setup be cranky baits.

Those milk crates work great in a canoe too. Strap a couple of pieces of pvc pipe to the side of the crate for rod holders. Bungie cord the crate to the center thwart to keep it from moving around.

Here is my kayak bag. I use 3600 size boxes and they fit flush. Lots of milk crate bags too if you wish to make it look better. The 3700 size boxes would stick up since they are a little too long. I’m pretty sure they make larger milk crates that would fit them though. I put a plexiglass divider in my crate and have battery and some misc. items in there as well. Fits perfectly

If you can find one, keep looking for a six gallon milk crate. I have a few of them and made a lid with piano hinge for the top. I can walk on it, sit someone on it in a piece and it’s a roomy tackle box. Been around me and my boats for near twenty years.
