Hello, folks here an outing I finally got around to do: a 2-day get away to Central coast of California hitting whatever pier showing up. Long story short I've recently acquired a 4pc travel XUL rod in the form of Palms Quattro out of Japan and been meaning to head out to cast a few and avoid any kind of heat stroke in doing so, even if it meant leaving town to do so. Total piers hit: 4, with Morro Bay being the most beautiful and Santa Barbara Stearns pier being the most productive! The Palms was used along side my trusty Nissin Fabulous F telescopic ML 4-12 lb test due to heavy eel grass ever present in the ocean. Both rods performed as it was designed! 23 total fish caught only, with a few juvies (micro) thrown in the mix BUT the air was worth the 6 hour drive alone. Enjoy the scenery pictures!

Nice catches. That salt air can be a welcome change
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Pretty places. Some cool looking fish, the one resembles a goby. Glad to hear the new rod worked well for you.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Nice trip for you! Thanks for the ride along! The smell of salt water makes it worth it!

Thanks for the kind comments, all! My resources of fresh water adversaries are somewhat limited geographically, but the urge to fish does not know boundaries...lol. I just hope I'm within guidelines when sharing fishing stories here at CDC, especially of the salty variety. Talking fishing with some or even friends can be like a urinating contest, if you will, and it's pretty daunting.

Thanks for chiming in, Gill. I was hoping you would because it seems "whatever that bites" has always been how you and I fish. I also know you love catching micros and taken beautiful photos of them, so here's one photo for you: A Black Rockfish that grows to 2 feet long...
