I haven't been for a little bit, fishing that is. I think My sweetheart thinks I'm a work-a-holic in my not so healthy older age. Been putting off this project as I knew the work it would take. The project??? you ask. Putting in a wood floor in the front bath of a 30 year old mobile home.
First off, it's tight quarters, then the sub-floor, though solid, has some dips and sways, LOL. Way over my head and budget to rip it out and re-do it, replace it. So I got some Versa-Tech floor leveling compound...hahaha. close to 80* in the morning at 7AM when I started. Mixed as directed...Moved bucket to work area and instead of the 15-20 minutes work time, It kicked off and unusable in 5 min. with no saving it. There went 3/4 of a bag of mix.
Second batch I made a bit more soupy than a pancake batter and at least got it on the floor and pretty much spread even before it kicked off. Currently taking a break from using 50 grit sand paper and a scraper I'm using to take down the high spots I created when moving the compound around. As long as my knees, back, and arms hold out, I should get this part done this evening.
Now in the Morning, I'm going to the marina docks at the State Park on Lake Pomme De Terre and see if I can drown a jig or two...Then Pick back up where I left off on Saturday...Stay safe ya'all, enjoy, Tight lines and full Limits...Eric

Yes Sir, no doubt on the always something. But then, that's what keeps life interesting...right???
Definitely going in the morning, rain or shine. Docks in Marina are covered, Ha,ha,ha! Just getting from parking lot to the docks, but I got a rain jacket...

If it can kick off, it will kick off on me. I need 5 gallons of fiberglass to get 1 gallon on the boat. The other 4 gallons are in the shape of whatever container it set up in

Yes sir I totally understand that. I have two 5 gallon buckets with floor leveler like cement in the bottom. Well one is like 1/2 full. I don't have a impact chisel to get it out, so it goes with the trash tomorrow...just sayin'

I have quit for now. A little clean up, and the floor goes back in. My arms feel like worn out rubber. No elasticity left in them. Knees feel like ice picks have been at them all day...But still going in the morning...Thankfully they have stools around the docks to sit on if needed...Short break then load Mommas Jeep for tomorrow morning...I'll post up some pics of tomorrow when I get back.

I can imagine. This room is about 5'x10', with the tube, toilet counter for sink, and heater wall, my 5'11" tall 270lb frame on all fours gets a bit cumbersome for sure. and I'm sure the one in the RV is even more tight for space. Oh my!!!
