    Default Had to stop by.

Just had to try Bald Knob again. I’m thinking of doing this everyday, if possible. Want to see how long these shell cracker will hold off of this pier. Only fished a short while, approaching storm ran me off. Caught 2 fish…..the first one is 12 inches and the other is 11 inches. Root Beer Float Trout Magnet was the lure today….TenRyu Lunakia 63 LML, 21 Presso reel spooled with Varivas Twitch Master nylon line 3# test, Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram jig #6 hook. Life is good!

Those are some great sized fish for a short stop. Just be careful, you’ll get spoiled.

Thanks for the comments. I hit it up again after dinner….catching a beautiful 11 inch shell cracker while the wife waited in the car….LOL. This place is odd. I should be getting all kinds of taps from smallish bluegill….but that ain’t happening. Catch quite a few juvenile shell cracker…and that’s a good thing. I’ve never fished a lake where the shell cracker outnumber the bluegill. I’m just going to continue to fish it until they stop. Been told come fall and winter one can catch all the crappie off the pier I could want. I hope that’s true.
