Default Leave on a high note

Did my turkey scouting and Tom's were in my favorite spot so slept in Wednesday morning. Plan was to have nice breakfast then clean the place and then stop and visit the crappie whisperer and drop off some stiff. He had covid really bad twice and it has changed his body chemistry and he has developed bunch of allergies which affect many of his everyday activities. He was supposed to go with us Tuesday and the place we tore them up He showed to me but his hands had awful rashes and one of issues is with cork handles on fishing poles and he goes almost every day.

On the way tho is that spot where I was ketchn so well Monday. Now remember how cold front blew thru Wednesday morning with 25 mph winds blowing right at you and it was COLD with bad windchill. But you know I had to give it a go.

There was actually someone there casting near my spot but out not close enough to b a threat. I hit my second spot first to give him time to move and BOOM after few empty retrieves I hit a dark male, then another and moved under tree and hit 2 more.

But now he was gone and I made beeline to my main spit. AFTER FEW dips finally had dark shape come up and thump happened. Then dipping around rest of cover picked up couple more. That was enough and headed out. Put them on ice and cleaned them next day

Especially with nasty conditions THATS how leave on a surprise high note.Name: 20230405_113249.jpg
