Yeah going to have to learn saltwater. Really not much crappie until you go north a ways in Alabama.

I returned a rod to BPS in a tube and it was $23.50 to Wisconsin. UPS in a 88x2 tube.

This will help for shipping rods
go to a carpet store and get a carpet spool. The cardboard that carpet comes on.
cut it to less than 5' and put the rod in it packed with bubble wrap cardboard over the ends and duct tape to hold together. Take to PO and have them give you a cost on it.
