    Love the fish but even if it was twice that size I wouldn't move to CA to get one.

    Sixteen inch crappie are true giants even here, they get longer in the front half and appear little misshapen, to get to three pounds as a black crappie they need to get deep, wide,and long in the front. Look how far it is from the top lip to the first spine of the dorsal fin.Name:  20230308_133921.jpg

    Yes, we have scaled quite a few, and one like that comes in between 2.5# and 2.9#
