Do y’all think a roll of that would feed through a bobbin?

Dubbing is your friend. Use a dubbing loop for more durability and to have the spiky chenille look. Ice dub is probably what you want, or some type of synthetic.

If you can find the large bobbin yes but its easy to just cut off a piece of the chenille a couple of foot long to use.

    Ditto on dubbing
I think I cheat when doing this.
First get the dubbing fluffed up or if you have fur, cut some off the hide and spin it up in a coffee grinder. Once I get my tail tied in, I take a small amount of clear fingernail polish and apply to about two inches of thread. Then I pull some spun fir and lay it on the glued thread and spin it into a string between my fingers. Once you figure out the proportions it’s easy.
I also have a ball of yarn that has mixed colors. Cut out small sections that match what you like and make your body. They come out small and tight and there is no limit to colors.

Any chenille and a good pair of scissors is your friend. 3 motions takes 3 seconds……

I’ve found both regular (nylon?) and plastic chenille that are very small, more micro size. No names on the cards but I found the little plastic, like short estaz, on amazon or eBay. I got like ten or twelve colors of it for a good price. The regular comes in bags at maybe sportsman’s warehouse or the like and is called micro size. My gill jigs are a knockout.

AS mentioned by others...Dubbin..Learn to use dubbin loops and to twist dubbin onto the thread. You will not need much chenille after learning to use dubbin. There are some very good instructional videos on YouTube for dubbin loops and twisting dubbin as many other ways to use it.
