Stayed close to home, thinking the bite would suck after the front and I could be back early when the fish didn't bite... I was wrong. Fish were shallow and tight to the trees. Black and chartreuse tubes 6-8" deep tipped with niblet. Ended up keeping 33 nice sacs. Only 1 had eggs. My go-to plastics are black and chartreuse tube jigs for dirty water and diamond mist Garland baby shads for clean. I like the little 1" floats with the toothpick. If you hang up, you can easily reel the cork down to the jighead and shake it off the limb/stump if the water isn't too deep. I break the toothpick in half and insert from the bottom side. Included a pic of my setup and go-to tackle.

Very nice! We have been catching them the same way with very few females also. I like those corks also but they do NOT hold up a 1/16 oz jig, do very well with the 1/32 oz jig though. I have a buddy that makes his from Wine corks, I had him make me up a few, they work the same way if you get hung up. Thanks for sharing.
