I agree top one a lives their other one came in from deeper water !
we catch them here like that a lot some will be real dark because they live up in the grass and others hardly any color when they first come in out of the river !

I always thought the males get darker when they are getting ready to spawn. I kept 14 good ones on a trip last month, most were dark.. 13 were males. The one female had small roe. All were caught in 4 ft of water

We did keep these two, and they were both female. FYI

Whats also interesting is, the big one looked like it spawned already, did have eggs, but very few, and the smaller one had eggs, and lots of them.
