AGFC might not like the Limbline Video on I believe Conway . never saw the lines tagged with their contact info . That is a law and heard more than one complaint about limblines left in Cypress Trees on Conway on the forum .![]()

Yea I have heard stories of owls going after an unchecked line and getting caught in the line and eventually dying.

It is a decent crappie lake, It used to be excellent until a few show boaters and attention hungry individuals, decided to publicize their every move, now it is flooded with boats and many of them are rude, inconsiderate individuals, I have had my line run over there, I have had people cast right into my boat, I had a 14' crappie rod broken when a guy actually run into it with me telling him he was fixing to hit it. I have had people throw anchors out right next to me, I have had my boat run in to by other individuals not paying attention or just trying to catch a fish because you caught a fish, yes if you catch a fish and someone sees it, they start moving in on top of where you are fishing. The issue there is getting bad, and the Owner of Gold creek landing, has realized at $5 dollars a boat she is making a fortune, she has the ability to control some of it, but chooses the almighty dollar over crowd control. Over publicizing a fishing lake or fishing spot for personal gain, and notoriety, and personal gratification has bad consequences as well. Social media will be the death of certain fishing lakes, Individuals such as Cole and Jay will only speed up the process. The natural resource is being exploited for personal financial gain, when this happens protecting the Natural resources no longer have any priority.
Welcome to the home of the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.

Biggest reason I will not name the lake I am on most of the time . Been to Gold Creek twice and said never again . Atkins had boats run into me and push me off a pile I was fishing . When did it become bumper boats ? That guy did it 2 times and I had enough and left . One guy had the nerve to ask me '' What does that mean on your depthfinder ?'' I told him '' If you can read my electronics , your too friggen close ! '' Some places there is only so much water and I try to avoid going if it gets that bad . Had a guy last year ask for help , I called him and he moved over here . It was suppose to be confidential information . Couple days later 8 boats pulled right in with me . Later a buddy called me cause he heard them broadcasting the location . I never helped them again . Sad social media has made it that way .
It’s been excellent for me and and a few more others that fish Conway. Pretty consistent the last 20 + years. With numbers and size. The problem isn’t the lake it’s s the locals that have been bent out of shape with the increased amount of people that fish it and get rattled when someone speaks positive about the lake in fear that it will attract more fisherman. The only solution to wanting limited access is the buy a lake and control who and when it’s fished. Cole and Jay along with some of the other YouTubers provide more entertainment for the people that cant fish vs the ones that can. All those crappie in Conway will never be all caught or even close, relax lol

I think it’s wrong to tell where you are fishing on social media/ U tube videos.
They can get the same attention( and more respect ) by catching fish and showing technique without disclosing the location.

I like them. From what I know of them, second-hand, they're good folks. As long as they're not breaking laws while they're doing it I have no problem with people chasing their dreams by hunting and fishing. Probably could get away with less location dropping but a lot of the YouTubers out there tell you where they're at.
