I own an old Shakespeare fiberglass rod I get out occasionally. Fun to fish the old ones .
Skeet , I still have a couple UL Lightning rods . One is a one piece with a foam grip area . That’s a sweet fun rod .
JDM rods are nice but you don’t need one to enjoy ultralight fishing .
It’s like Porsche vs Corvette.
On second thought , make that Nissan GT-R vs Corvette. ( I had to Google Japanese Sports car )
