The nuclear squirrel worked pretty well on a slow day. Water temp was 48. Clarity was slightly muddy. Started at 28° and up to near 50 for the air temp.

Started with a different jig and caught a few fish then remembered to tie on the nuclear squirrel for a test.

Caught about 20 crappie in the eight 10-in range with a couple of 11s thrown in. Got around a 5 lb stryper on it also.

Fishing was slow, probably due to the massive bait schools that were around but still ended up with an enjoyable day.

Decided to tie a second one. The first one was 1/16 this one is 1/8 with slight differences in the tie. He looks a might peculiar, but ought to do.
