Cold but no skunk
Went out this morning. I knew it was going to be cold but i just had to try.
Caught 3 barely legal before the wind got too cold and strong. Was hoping for a longer day out but the old bones just couldn’t take it. Don’t expect to be able to get back out before April sad to say. More medical repairs will sideline me for a few weeks.

The water was a little higher than last week with all the rain lately.

They were fairly solid thumps as i reeled up. I got close enough to drop a weedless jig between the posts and support beams until it hit bottom. Slow reel up and they hit about 3 feet off the bottom in 8 to 9 fow. The other was on a shoot along the outside of the pilings.
I do try using the techniques i read about here. Surface temp was around 47.

This area is an okd fishing pier. About 200 yards from ramp. I seem to catch something every time i hit it now. Most guys pass it up. Well until they see me pulling in fish lol
When weather was better I caught 15 to 20 10.5 to 11.5 inch in about an hour there It doesn’t bother me to make a short trip.
