Rain-gear....Whatcha Got?!?
Been doing some asking around locally but now I want ALOT of opinions. Ha!I've only ever had cheap rainsuits that was good enough to get me soaking wet if ever caught out on the lake if a cloud came up. I'm looking for something that I know will costs more but hopefully I can keep it around 2 bills, give or take, but I'm wanting something that will keep me dry on a dreary wet day.
So.....what you fellas got that you think is A-OK for your "wet-suit"?

I have Frogg Toggs pilot pro suit bought each piece separate in Amazon warehouse deal, gave $76.00 for bibs, $88.00 for jacket. I bought the puffer liner for rain jacket that snaps in and out for $51. I know they are usually a lot higher but i waited it out for a deal. If your in no hurry warehouse way to go.

I have some Frog Toggs as well as military grade gortex. Both work well.

Which I could find an Wet weather Parka like I had issued in the military. Unfortunately, I can't find one big enough, size 3Xl. when stationed in Korea I took one, and a poncho liner down to a tailor shop hand they used the poncho liner and sewed a liner in the wet weather parka. great for cool damp breezy days...

I've had/used Frog toggs for years. They're cheap and light and do a pretty good job. Of course I've stuck my foot through a few of them or got a stray hook in one or two and tore em up, but at the low cost you just go get another and keep on fishin...

Same for me, NCkenner ... and they can be "patched" (small holes/tears) with Duct Tape on the inside. I've even worn them over my Chiller Killer Snowmobile Suit, just to block the wind when running down the lake in cold weather. Putting them on over heavy/bulky clothing is one reason I buy them a size larger than what I'd normally wear.

Between hiking and fishing I’ve ran through enough frog toggs that I could have bought one nice rain jacket haha. Can’t beat ‘em for the price point. Go up a size or two when you buy them so you can layer up under them.
