Most guys use danelle 210 for most their ties all sizes unless you want slightly thinner thread which 140 be slightly thinner,,,,eyes depend on what mold uses,,,I’d say between 3 mm - 4 mm and if wanting something slightly larger go 5 mm,,,hope this helps,,,and yes Renzetti is a fine vice if wanting to spend alittle more money, but really isn’t needed for crappie jig making…basic table vice works fine for most guys,,,rotation isn’t really needed….

For thread go with a flat wax 210 denier. This is the most common size most folks use with 140 denier being next most used.
Eye size depends on the flat surface of a 1/16th jig. 3MM-4MM is the most common size. I personally would go with a 3MM to be safe.
I have a Renzetti vice and it works great. Peak and Regal makes a great vise also. Nothing at all wrong with the Traveler.

If you like the Renzetti Vise, I had the Saltwater Traveler and loved it! Most guys that Have a Peak love it too! There are several really great vises you can choose from!
Thread mostly 140 and 210 denier, but some use smaller like 70 Denier or 6/0.
