    Default Time to go home.

We had big time and after slow couple days finished with flurry. Crew killed button and spike, then got doe and another buck.

My friend brought over deer we had him smoke for us and it was incredible! Along with limit of crappie I caught boys ate those as appetizer before big pans of venison, taters and onions came and they tore into that. A true field and stream feast along with cold bottles of Busch was perfect end.

Had the camper who I gave crappie too come over to shower and try the venison and gave him jigs and nibbles for his son to use fishing.

Another friend came by who goes to more places big game hunting than u can imagine and fishes for all kinds of species in exotic places but depends on me for his crappie fix. Has covid now and really weak from it so hoping a big feed o crappie would b the cure so gave him bags o filets and a couple rainbows I had. One of the most interesting guys I've ever met do glad to help. He did toss me couple packages of elk so that was fair exchange from royal elk he took recently.

When i pulled into home saw this across street, 3 does!

    Till the next adventure.

Did go back to lake for few minutes but KABOOM wasnt happening and needed to go so gave my ketch to buddy and went home.Name: Resized_20221114_202843.jpg

great thing was Beagle is that you couldn't tell it was venison. The smoked part and slow cooking made it just so tender and delicious. Folks who wouldn't eat deer loved it and were surprised it was venison.
