Faux Bucktail pink and white
Here's a 1/8 triangular head with a #2 red sickle.
Pink and white faux bucktail. Switched from red to black to iridescent white threads. Was trying to add a splash of color back by the hair.

how do you describe the movement of faux bucktail.. stiffer than natural hair?

Im curious about that to. Also how is it to tie with compared to natural bucktail. Im going to try tying some Clouser minnows and am trying to decide which to buy, faux or natural. And nice tie rezz!

The faux bucktail is stiffer than natural, which allows it to hold its shape in the water pretty much as tied. Very little movement swimming but when tapping the line the tips should vibrate, at least in the air.
It's a slicker material and requires a little more attention when tying. It's made to bond with super glues so I usually add some glue at the edge of the hair and thread. That's not really necessary but just in case.
If more movement is wanted then the addition of some type of flash covers that and the combination looks good together.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the faux tail. I had read on one of the online retailers that you needed to incorporate a little different tying technique with it.
