Just a quick FYI , last trip a few days ago we had an accident.

Wear eye protection is the word , it sure would have been a horrible injury if it was in an eye .
Was really ugly in his ear and sure enough poured blood all over the place during and after removal....
The only good news is our sense of humor, all 3 of us were joking around about it 24 hours later....

Did you do the braid thing to remove it?

Could have left it in there and started a new trend

Yup seen it happen many times. When I was little I caught my dad. I don’t think we were joking about it though.

Dad's Mom hooked herself on the nose with a Cane pole. Never got any hooks. Did get a fillet knife through my left forearm.

When you have more than one person in the boat, you may have to alter your usual casting style, eg. side or even underhand. It sure could have been a lot worse than it was!
