I like rabbit. I use cross cut and wrap around like chenille.

I had an idea,, to tie a jig with a white belly, black back, and some horizontal hair to represent pectoral fins.
From that basic idea, rabbit was chosen to use, even though the skin showing has caused it to be rejected in the past.
Here's what came out so far:

They look rough and the second one is more like the idea. The chenille doesn't look too good to me.
Here's more combinations of duck,Fox, badger, and rooster saddle.
Might work into something one day:

Thanks Guys.
The feathers are aggravating to work with due to their curvature and having two different looks on the sides.
I tried to fold the feather in half lengthwise to make the sides look alike but that doesn't help with the curve and is tricky to get to stay in place. The curve does look kind of cool, just wish the orange rooster saddle was tied in shorter so it didn't stick out so far behind the badger fur. The white/black/white of that fur looks nice for sure.
Anyway, these materials are some that were ignored for a long time and today seemed like a good time to give them another try.
There are a few good features here that can be worked in in the future.
