    Default Hmmmm


    Trying some deer belly hair today . Here's The work in progress followed by the finished jig.

    That belly hair sticking out like that. Unfinished jig looks pretty good, just can't decide to leave the jig that wide.

    Ended up tuning it down but still like the flared look.

    The belly hair is courser and stiffer that bucktail and looks good in single strands which should make it useful for adding highlights and such.

    Unsure if tlhe wider flared look would please the fish though.
    Might as well make one and try it!

    Further on down that road.

    The belly hair is more brittle and might only last for one fish

    Foxtail is a lot softer and easier to work with rezzzzz. And in the long run, it costs alot less too…
