Thread: Found another hot dock

After big rain storm decided to go chk on my pontoon since sun came out and glorious day. Visited w neighbors as my friend left my dinner Sunday n8ght and went with a couple other vet Friends and did his Honor Flight to DC. QUITE THE ODYSSEY WITH HAVING TO GO TO COLUMBIA FIRST then go back to STL airport for flight. He didn't get home till midnight next night. He was in army at Vietnam and emotional experience.

Then went to docks and rearranging bumpers. I had stuck a few branches down lift nxt to my boat and dumped fish carcasses around over weekend so dropped a jig to see if anything there. Been devoid of crappie keepers for last 2 years but KABOOM! A 12 INCHER smashed it and it was on! Missed a couple of biguns but did manage acouple keepers there. Wandered around for some time picking up a keeper or 2 on several.

Just when I was going to quit went back to mine dropped jig and KABOOM biggest fish of day.

Caught and released a lot of dinks and decent sunfish as well. All in all a great unexpected day. U never know what can happen if u put a few branches in lake.

Used 1 shad colored 1.5 inch jig on 64th red head, my 7 foot berkly cherry wood medium rod and president reel w 8 lb hi vis Mr crappie line. Jig was beat up but still ketchn at end. Fish were at 4 to 8 fow.
