Default Amazing that almost all fish - panfish and bass - were caught in 7-8 FOW!

It was a perfect day weatherwise: partly cloudy, 65 degrees, a 5-10 mph wind, semi-clear 60 degree water and no one else fishing. I already had a good day in open water last week but wasn't sure if it wasn't a fluke. It got even better!

The day before I made a few modified finesse lures that I would rig on a light jighead if needed and it's a good thing I did! After messing with
1/24 oz jig and larger plastics with only fish nipping at them, I switched to a 1/32 oz jig with #6 circle hook. The first lure mod. I tried got blasted immediately!

I haven't had much luck with small tubes so I cut the tails off one and added it to a solid body using a candle to melt them together. Only three of the fingers were used. Only the shallower (7-8') area of the lake held fish with fan casting the best bet to finding groups of fish loosely schooled.
    A beautiful day:

What species of sunfish is this? I never caught one in this lake.

Doesn't look like the usual pumpkinseed which I caught from this lake recently:

Could be a big female, they’re not as colorful as the males .

Awesome piece of water indeed! And the fall leave color we surely lack my neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing!
