They gonna be warm at 60 MPH…and they gonna be almost too hot to touch at 70 MPH. In the summer when driving the interstate at 70…the wheel on the sun side of the road will get too hot to touch. The wheel on the shade side will just be hot. I am religious about taking care of wheel bearings and I have never had an issue. I put about 18 thousand miles a year on my trailer at interstate speeds. Never had an issue in 7 years. I sold my boat last month and the guy that bought it drove 2400 miles to get it and towed it back with no issues at all. I know a lot of folks who have had issues…and everyone of them never did any maintenance at all on their bearings. I think you’ll be fine.

. I replaced the ancient hubs on my homemade trailer this weekend. Learned a lot doing it, too. They were roaring and I knew it was time. Not bad considering they have never been replaced! 1960s homemade trailer y’all!
