Default Only 59 and yes there was a roast ....

But to be sure it was a fun 59 , we hit the big lake about an hour at my friends ranch west of dfw . Mom , das Kid and Me , on the way in from some hard work in the heat at our place west of there.
Everyone dipped the same lil handties given to me by a really nice guy here on the forum a while back and everyone ketched the fisheez .
Mom used her "cane pole" lil jewel BnM thing , Kid used a really small light rod with a Zebco 22 and me used a Shaking my spear micro lite with a Shimano on it. Fish were more cooperative the closer it got to dark thirty . We went for bluegill , but the crappie just had to get in the way along with them .
The owner of said ranch showed up just as we were heading out and it got about silly funny , he said you like hamburger ? said yep , he said got get a few rolls from the deep freeze over at the building down the way . Got back to say thank you and he said , did you get a few steaks too ? Said nope , they sure looked good though and it crossed my mind to grab one , but you said hamburger not steak. He said well go get a few steaks too ! Went back and grabbed 2 new york strips and 2 filet mignons . got back to say thank you once again and he said .......did you get one of those big loin roasts ? Said nope you said steaks not roasts, he said well go back and get one of those too !
Unbeknownst to me he had a special secret processing facility at the end of that building with all the whistles and bells built just to do his own cattle on his own place !
So we decided we needed to give him one of our cantaloupes and he said no thanks , I have 2 in my truck and 2 watermelons as well that need to get in the glass frig in the entertainment facilty.
So of course we offered up the placement and he said that would help out alot since his hip was giving him fits and I had to get his keys to open his truck ...........
about halfway home we realized I never gave them back ....
uturn time and we returned said keys and finally got home a bit before midnight .....
The fish were in that you just never know what kind of bite you would get mode , soft , hard and in between and sometimes not even a bite ,just have a fish on my jig ? did not seem to have a particular pattern or depth they liked bestest and from 3 foot of water to 10 foot of water fish bit pretty well.
An armadillo at dark thirty gave us a visit and seemed to care less about us and we dodged a really little confused fawn on the road in the dark , one whistling duck came to roost at last light and started in with the light whistles and to be sure it was good times.
hope you enjoyed the ride along ,,,,and yes the steaks appear to be "marbled" to near perfection , we shall see in the near future is the word
p.s. wife said dont post any pictures of the meat for some reason ?
so just imagine some Texas style Koby beef if you will ....

That was a great ride along and I thank you for it. I’m real glad that pretty little daughter of yours doesn’t sport facial hair like her daddy. You and mom have done well. Enjoy the beef. I couldn’t eat it if I wanted to for a few more weeks. Truly a KABOOM day.

Texas Koby beef sounds awesome. Saw an armadillo on the side of the road this morning. The second one I have seen up here.
