I liked the functionality of a few of the aluminum poles, but didn’t like how it mounted to the boat. Ram mount was the easiest for me.

That looks like something I’m trying to accomplish.

Default Flexible extension for homemade livescope mount.

I came close to attempting this, but again have issues figuring out how to mount while not cluttering the bow.

I also kicked around this idea, but it adds an addition potential fail point.

The gentleman selling the one in classifieds shared the YouTube video for the one he made. I like the extension for a socket because it seems like it would be one that can be removed, but still rigid. Not sure I will like the longer pipe vs flexible cable that could be routed anywhere. Once I get back from Florida, I’ll sit in the boat and see exactly how long of cables I’d need.

The one Charlie Burrows made definitely works good. Fishin Ken on Hook City has one he made with hydraulic hose to turn his with & it works good too. I mounted a bench top bicycle repair stand to my front deck & put my d i y pvc pole in it & it works great.

I used a section of power washer hose attached to top of transducer pole like Fishin Ken and mounted bracket and pillow block off stabilizer mounting holes on bottom of Garmin troller. I need to add some drag to the bearing so it stays where you point it better but slightly turning the hose will point the head wherever you want while several feet back from transducer pole.
