Thread: Rainy day pair

Here's a pair from this morning using gray fish hair, black and white faux Bucktail, and Crystal flash.

In the top one you can see a gap in the gray thread where it stopped from tying in the black from behind the head. This was done on purpose, wild idea, with the thought that that little patch could be any color for an accent. That collar looks pretty bad but it'll do for fish.

Top jig has the flash tied on first under the gray hair, while the second has the flash tied over the gray and shows up better.

The thread collar is much better on the second jig but I wish I'd left the red collar smaller. I'm having trouble getting that right, front collar say two or four thread widths, narrow.

Little trimming was done but decided to leave them raggedy, like me.
