You will like the 1222. Don’t know about the LVS34 as I have the 32 and am very satisfied.
The Ulterra limits you on the mount.
I started with a Po-Dunk from Rickie and was satisfied with it.
Then went to Rite-Hite with electric control and left me totally hands free to fish.
Rotates 340 degrees and mounts under my Ultrex.
My spot lock will not drift but 2-3 foot and very subtle movement to get you back.
If my Livescope and Ultrex both went south I would replace my Ultrex first.
Especially like the Jog feature while in spot lock mode.

Livescope is way more important than a spotlock trolling motorknowing 100% you are fishing for a fish is why the livescope is more important hands down.

You are right about saving time fishing where there are zero fish but I hate to think I couldn’t catch fish without it.

Well, now I know why you said you'd be laying out $4000 for your LS setup

I use my spot lock everytime out. Money well spent for me. I don't own livescope & no plans on buying it.

Here's my answer....

I'm afraid either version is so good that it will make fishing too easy for me. But have I got close several times...absolutely...I love to figure fish out but I also love to play with new gadgets. Not to change the subject but my son sent me some Lowrance videos. Oh my it was good and I use Garmin GL with your choice.

What about when it looks like there are a million fish on screen counting the shad & you still can't get a bite? Sometimes it really surprises a person just how many fish are actually in the lakes & in the very area you're fishing when not getting bit. Sure shows you the population ain't low.

I caught plenty before livescope and still do.Me and some buddies drove 10,750 steaks one yr making crappie beds,hard work pays off.I dont get to fish as much as i use to,busy with work family,etc.If i had to chose between the 2 i would even go back to s hand controlled trolling motor,knowing your fishing for a fish is 100% worth it.It may not be to some that fish lakes that are easy to fish,but here on kylake i have personally seen out of towners come in to prefish a tourny with livescope and go home because they still struggle.The biggest struggle is figureing out how to make them bite when you find them with the livescope but with practice its not to bad
