Lightbulb How to Tie a Loop Knot for Crappie Fishing (Quick and Easy)

This is how to tie a loop knot for crappie jigs! For crappie fishing, this is a great knot to know because it gives the jig a lot of freedom to move around and have a ton of action! It can be easily tied in 10 seconds and it’s extremely strong as well!

I'm glad to help! I know a lot of people use traditional knots (I did for a very long time) but the benefits of the loop knot are incredible!

Been using it for a long time. Never had it break at knot. Will caution those trying it for first time, be careful with super sharp hooks when doing the pass through of the loop. They will flip on you and stick you pretty good if not careful.

Thank you for the kind words! I've been shifting my content over to crappie fishing lately and I think it may be something I stick with (primarily) for my channel going forward. All of my videos I've shared here have been with a new voiceover format I've been testing and I think I'll end up sticking with that for most of my tip videos too. Thanks again for the comment!

I'll second this lol! I did a few practice runs before filming to make sure I had everything framed good for the final version and I jabbed myself a few times because I was focusing on the camera angle. Super easy to pin that hook in your finger if you aren't careful lmao
