That’s a good couple of trips, and I like the live well. I tried some nylon and found it mushy compared to braid, but I could still feel em. Don’t know how that would go when they were biting light. I use braid now and love the feel.

Totally agree. Fished with mono for a long time. Tried braid and panfishing became a completely different experience. Feeling every move the fish makes, even little ones, ups the fun factor.

Got to the lake about 4pm after work. Talked to two guys taking their boat out at the ramp. They said they were fishing structure along the banks, picking up a few in different spots all but 4 of them small. I checked some downed trees with livescope but didn't see any fish. Decided to give it a couple cast anyways, second cast bingo hooked a big branch, lost the jig.

Tied another jig on and went to the deeper water where I was finding them last weekend. Found some schooled up about 8 to 12 ft deep. Started with the Lunakia caught about a half dozen, till I got a wind knot, was able to get most of it out fished it a little more then switched to the Finetail SUL with nylon line. Caught a couple but bite was kind of slow. Switched to the Aji do to see how it felt. None of the fish were thumping the jigs just soft bites. About 6pm the wind started to die down and the fish spread out some. The pace picked up pretty well. Got into bigger fish than last weekend smallest fish was around 8 inches biggest was just short of 11 inches a pretty good fish around here.

I was having good time till I got persistent phone calls, my credit card company was calling wanting to know if I was at a Target in Dallas making a $700 purchase. Nope not me. Spent the next half hour on the phone with them. I did catch 2 more keepers while talking to him though. Boated 33 crappie with 17 keepers.Name: 20220429_205533.jpg

Had the wife and daughter in law out on Sat with there new TCB rod combos. By the end of the day they were both doing well casting the spinning reels. We caught a good many fish, mostly small ones, between the 3 of us we had 15 legal crappie and 2 perch. My wife had the big fish of the day 10.75 crappie. A good day with the family.

Crappie started moving towards the shallow water found lots towards the back end of the lake but still holding in 15 to 20 FOW. Name: IMG_4582.jpg

Nice report and photos, zekepa. The TCB is a real nice rod for the money and I love mine. Pans feel really good during the fight.

Good catches and pics. The Finetail should be a good fit for those smaller Crappie and Perch. The Lunakia will definitely handle anything whiskered or green that comes along. Most fish should be headed shallow up your way, hope to see more reports soon.
