--- thanks to our present administration for such great deals on gas.[/QUOTE]

Don't blame him alone it's all of them. Pushing for EV to take over overnight. I'm looking to buy me a couple of mules for transportation if it keeps up. Plenty of grass along the HWY systems.
$140 for me too! $60 fill up going and $80 on back side to get home. Think my mules could pull the pontoon?
Glad we all made the trip safely!

Thanks Pal! John wasn't kidding when he said Asser's were cutting between the bank and us or in the middle between boats. Looked like the grand prix at day light!
I guess we are like magnets we draw a crowd!

They don't bother me much as long as they're on plane. If yall had to go to Flat Swamp, I can see why they buzzed by. Not a TON of room from bank to bank there. I used to hate being buzzed. Still not a fan of it, but given being on plane and buzzed, or slowing down short of flat idling at a crawl, I'll take it every time. lol

It wasn't the wake so much it was the speed up close. Crap happens!
Lot of floating debris, large pieces of logs was present!

Thats the fun of fishing High Rock. Might lose a lower unit or put a hole through your hull, might catch the fish of a life time. Ya never know

The one that was worst was 2 toons loaded to the max and with little 25 hp.motors couldn’t plane out had to get 25 ft or less from us and wave and smile. 2/3 of lake was open for traffic but guess they wanted to meet close up.

Well John.....did you wave back?!? I got cussed out last week on Russell. I was fishing Coldwater Cr which is loaded on both sides of the boat runs with standing timber broke off just below the surface and a dude was fishing off a point right in the middle of the boat run. I came off plane, idled by him and then went on down the lake. When I came back back, doing the same thing, this fellas started raising cain and cussing at me. I told him the stumps were on both sides of the poles and you HAD to run between them if you didnt want to loose a lower unit but his mind was already set and he didnt shy away none. I just told him with his kind of mouth that if I ever see him in the boat run (20 yards wide?!?) again fishing I wouldnt slow down and I'd sink him. Then I drove off before he actually made me mad. I'm sure he was an out-of-towner and didnt know squat about Russell. He needs to get a map and learn a little about a lake he's fishing before he tries to tell a local how and where to drive his boat. Geez........
