    Default Dodging Storms.

Had a small window to fish this morning in between the rain. In a little over and hour I had a total of 20 fish. Had 4 trout all around 13-14 inches caught at the end of a riffle using a Forest MIU Abalone colored 3.5 gram spoon. I then tied on a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 1 gram head and fished some flat water. I caught a total of 15 walleye. Most were short fish but put up a pretty good fight on the FSX Stream Stage UL rod. But I had 4 walleye that were over 16 inches. They put up a great fight on that rod. And then the one largemouth. Should have had a cooler in the car and I would have had some great eating with the walleye…all fish lived to fight another day. Life is good and getting better all the time!

Interesting catch the walleye, did you have any bite your offerings off with those sharp teeth? Storms are hitting here soon, by the end of the week spring fishing should pick up with the warm weather and rains.

No damage to the TM or me…LOL. Funny how they really like a Trout Magnet. My son and I have limited out on them several times at Normandy while trout fishing. We have never actually gone there to target walleye. My biggest was this 8.5 pounder. Quite a battle on 2# SOS line with a JDM UL. I’m just waiting for a good weather day at Nickajack so I can get on some bluegill.
