Thread: To all the planer board folks

You should not be having this issue. The idea is that the boards float along the surface. I bought the Off Shore brand mini planer boards. They do well except when the waves get up.

I thought you used a dock shooting rod with the scope mounted just above the handle.

Trying to broaden my horizons. I shot docks Saturday that brought a nice 14 plus inch crappie. Yesterday after pulling the boards I was waiting to load the boat and pulled a 10" Rock bass out from under a toon. I believe I am being told to stick with the docks

I believe we all should stick to what we do best. Nothing wrong with trying new things but Some of us have to do it right. (Actually, if it puts fish in your bucket then it's the right way) Me I have added jigging to my fishing. Shooting docks is still my fav but if jigging bridge pilings and open water works best sometimes well there ya go. I think Dock Shooting Jack really like the feel of the thump like a lot of us do. Guess that's why I am a one rod guy. My addiction grows stronger each week. Thanks to all the enablers here that help feed it!
