It has been mentioned on several other threads about a really good resource for tying flies - Fly Anglers On Line (FAOL). I just visited there and the “Fly of the Week” archives are still there. Just for example if you’re interested in foam flies if you go to the 3rd Qtr 2004 check out the EZ Foam Bug. Super simple tie and pans just love them. Segmented foam fly? Check out 4th Qtr 2003 Souhegan Hopper. A good looking fly for sure. The list is extensive both wet and dry. Easy recipes for you to try. Buried in there somewhere is a terrific tutorial on how to use a whip finisher to tie professional looking whip heads. I have no ties to this site other than I learned a lot there and created a lot of flies.
Well worth checking out IMHO. Happy looking!

Yes I have pushed that site for all the years I have been tying, something like 17 years now. It's a great site to get really good information.
Also the same place everyone learned how to tie the Bitch Creek Weave tying in their advanced Tying Lessons and they still have from Beginners to intermediate and finally the advanced.

I need to find time to tie more.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
I’ve looked thru it a few times and found it very useful showing techniques and such that I can use on some of my jigs. As some have said, time is the thing I need most. And a happy birthday and thanks to Skip for showing us the way for all the years I’ve been here.

Outstanding site. Like Skeet said, it's great for getting ideas for jigs. It will make you better.
I'm with Skip! I learned alot from FAOL plus my free class's at my local fly shop. They print out well and you can put them in a binder and have a great set of lessons.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes guys!
Hey also don't forget they have a huge tips page and is where I learned several very important thing for me. One was paining eyes with a drill bit, then how about steaming old chenille to make it look brand new. Also is the place I got my glue making ideas that I use. There are so many it would be hard to believe if you read though them you wouldn't find at least one new thing!!!
Well it's got so you can't copy the URL and paste it, but just click on Fly Tying and then Tying Tips! Go on, take a look see!
