Man, Pelba has been on a pretty steady rise to 14 feet now.

Water visib 6 inches. Got out the wind in the canals that ran north south. Fished 1 to 10 ft deep bank to tree top and everywhere in between. Caught one 3/4 pound sac and gave it to a bank fisherman. The motor overheated so I loaded it on the trailer, took the thermostat off, cleaned out the shell from Big Lake, then backed the boat in the water without the thermostat or the cap that holds the thermostat in place. Started the motor till water spewed out the opening where the thermostat was and stopped the motor. Pulled the boat out. Replace the thermostat. Ran from the public ramp to the levee. No problems. One more test run before I bring it back to Big Lake. Today and in the next few months I decided I was gonna learn all there is to learn about pelba, hence the 20 mph breeze out the north. Sorry bout dat.
