Default Well... That wasn't the way to start the day!!!!

Second shot of the day and the new Pony was out of commission. Drew back to shoot under a limb and POW!! I will say this, ACC Crappie Stix contacted me as soon as I sent the request via email. They will ship a replacement tomorrow. Kinda bummed it broke, but that is awesome customer service. Would have thought 6lb test would have broken first may go to 4lb.Name: IMG_20220317_144101.jpg

Yes must have been a flaw in the weakest spot.

Ah, that’s a real bummer, but great the company got out a spare quick.

    Ouch ! That’s sucks .
I’ve read some folks were having trouble with the ACC blanks , but they said the customer service was good .
    Good luck with your replacement.
Sometimes it’s a hit or miss thing with rod blanks .

I have a feeling it may have had a problem by the way it split at the joint. You can't see it, but there is a hairline crack towards the tip where it broke. Just a small inconvience. I still got a beautiful day on water that was like glass.
P.S. I had a couple of extra rods so I made myself fish anyway. Well... That wasn't the way to start the day!!!!

Bum deal on the break but glad to hear they’re standing up and doing right. I set my drag to begin to slip when the rod is loaded pretty well. This keeps the chance of overloading and breaking the rod to a minimum. And I use 2 and 4 pound line for my light jigs but have used 6 when shooting a sixteenth.

Hate the rod snapped on you. That rod should handle 6 lb line.
