Thread: Good day bank fishing

Mac and I were on our way to my cabin when a buddy wanted us to go fishing with him. Wouldn't be polite to refuse him so we went to a public lake hard to get to. It's a lake he likes to fish after ice opens ip and crappie are roaming near surface. 8 acres or so swampy shoreline limits access.

My buddy who is a really good fisherman started ketchn right away but took a while to start myself. Bobber and jig about 12 to 20 inches. Would find a school and ketch a bunch then they would move off and had to hunt for another. Ended with a bunch from 9 to 11 inches. Ended up with 42.

truth be told my crappie ketchn buddy had 27 of those but I did get a normal limit tho it's 30 on this lake. Good to restock and start the giving bags to my neighbors up at the cabin. they know I'm up they stop by to visit knowing they can count on leaving with crappie.
