Default Question regarding Imaging when upgrading units

I am looking at upgrading my Helix 9 Mega SI G4N. My plan is to use the Helix 9 for mapping only and purchase a 10in for SI. Since units will be networked could I purchase a helix 10 down Imaging unit and pull the Side Imaging from the Helix 9? Seems to be a better option cost wise but did not know if I would get the same picture quality by doing so if it were even possible

Yes you can, it works great.
    I have a 10" gen2 SI unit networked to a 12" gen2 DI unit.
I use the 10" for 2d, down and mapping. I use the 12" DI unit just for SI. Works great for me.
