Default First Time Out in the Kayak

Bought an inexpensive used kayak from a buddy last year. Never got around to using until today. With temps in the low 80s (not normal for SE VA this time of year), it was time. Despite windy conditions (and I didn't think to bring along the anchor), I was still about to bring in around 65 fish (90% crappie) in several hours.

I'm looking forward to more kayak time as we move into spring.

Thats a nice assortment of fish and what sounds like a great first day of kayak fishing. Be careful, like tying jigs, it can be addicting.

That kayak and the Canyon Creek Super Ultralight did the job nicely. Certainly the making of a great day
