Sounds like a great time spent outdoors. Some good catches to add fun and memories to the day.

Pull up a chair/cot and a bucket o' beverage...this one is gonna take a minute! For those of you that enjoy YT(fishing-related) entertainment, and especially revel in the zaniness of Richard Gene, then within my post title, is something commonplace in ALL of his posts. Whenever he gets especially bubbly he convulses into his WOO overload!
My interpretation applies to yesterday's spur o' the moment saltwater/trip-share with two fellow C.com Missourians, I just met @the C.com Griffin event on Sunday!
Keith(Headhunter) had pm'd me just days prior in reference to some s/w direction I may be able to provide while he/wife visited his recently Florida relocated[ 4 years(+-)] friend Byford(Bymo).
This WOO has reference to our Port of Entry/ramp = Wizadry Of Ozello
Lots of conversational reveals(particularly by me) ONLY since I was hosting!
Pretty cool reveal that HH shared was the way that he and BYMO became best-buds= HH's new bride was a sorority-sister to BYMO's wife and intoduced accordingly.
They both had the fishing bug as their common-denominator and their friendship evolved. Dark o'thirty was our meet-up time to capitalize on Mother Nature's tide phase equation. We splashed down @sunrise-Beautifica and did a quick-pic to start our beautuifully forecasted day. Things actually went better than my expectations with everybody catching our diverse catch o' the day(Ladyfish, pinfish, trout, reds, snook, puffers(none able to be harvested). However, after experiencing two straight days of significant fishing-related shoulder "therapy"(bowling related left shoulder fracture) from BoardDumb, after returning home late last night, I was searching for my high-strength Pain pills!
I did sneak in a few casts during my chaperone/tutor/guide/tour-captain while smartly self-assigning front trolling motor stewardship.
Bymo's nice, wide, surface-driven rig proved a suitable/comfortable platform on which to conduct their indoctrination.
The best-buds proved their compatibility a few times by landing simultaneous catches! We had the pleasure of up-close shutter-snaps of a pod of dolphins thoroughly enjoying their environment. Somewhat disappointingly though, I managed to catch our trophy trout (1 per vessel) @ 19.5"s. HH revealed, in a low-key/non-boisterous way, that he enjoyed the awarded Senior racketball champ back in his homestate of Missouri!
Coincidentally yielding to my telling him of my 83 yr. old British friend Gordon that lived just two houses away from our ramp!
Their Senior prowess shared yet another awesome common-denominator = Kicking the arses of the decades younger competitors! Gordon has resorted to Florida's infamous PICKLEBALL courts as his Gladiator venue.
,my intentions were granted while leaving I managed to spot Gordon/Mary @ their house for a quick intro of Senior champs HH/Gordon! Are you kidding me? You just can't make this stuff up!! Was hoping to hear the gauntlet thrown in a Wide World of Sports challenge between the two!
Was further pleased to be able to introduce the facility's new owner, Demetri, to Byford and Keith as we arrived back @ramp!
Heck, who knows, maybe they will be able to make my next(hopefully) SALTFEST II get-together...coupling with the HH vs Gordon Paddlefest!!= Pay per View(ABC, CBS, NBC, YT)
Thanks for Readin'/Ridin'/Reelin' with us...enjoy the things you have/do with new-found friends...quite the reward!
Enjoy the pics-

I had to read it twice and I was there. We had the complete Douglass mangrove swamp tutorial and while we didn't ketch as many fish as he hoped still a good time was had by all. Much appreciation for the lessons doug and bymo's intro to the glamping/put in place. I'm sure he will join up and enjoy it.
caught 4 new species which have heard a lot about but never have landed. Snook, speckled trout, pinfish and mangrove snappers. got bunch of hits from puffer fish as well. as a freshwater guy it was a completely new experience and that's one of the best things about CDC. the opportunity to connect with truly great local fisherdudes who are willing to share their knowledge and time.
Of course we had to sign a blood oath not to reveal anything on pain of a gruesome death but that is such a minor thingy.
Can't tell you how much we both appreciated your time Doug. Plus how nice it was that Slab threw that crappiefest just because I came to town. LOL![]()
